Rockfish and Cisco Combine to Redesign and Re-launch “One Million Acts of Green” Website

The One Million Acts of Green online eco-community facilitates the belief that individual green acts, when done for the good of the earth, can have a tremendously positive environmental impact on our planet, especially in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Visitors to the site may pledge, complete and share more than one hundred "Acts of Green" in several categories, including Community, Home, Low-cost, School and Transportation.
"Cisco is an amazing partner to have on this project because there really is no network more powerful than the human network, and One Million Acts of Green, as an online eco-destination, leverages this capacity for collaboration," said Kenny Tomlin, Rockfish founder and CEO. "We expect One Million Acts of Green to be much more than just another green movement; we expect lives to change because good, sustainable, green habits are formed."
In addition to the website, Rockfish has built a Facebook application for One Million Acts of Green that makes it easy for individuals to pledge, complete and share acts with friends and family without ever having to leave the popular social network.
The re-launch of the site occurs in conjunction with two new promotions, both of which can be found on the website:
- The "Green U" program presents a list of quick, introductory acts that can be done quickly, whether alone or with family, while educating visitors about the site.
- Once registered for the "Three to Green" Sweepstakes, users will receive an entry to win a $5,000 shopping spree on buygreen.com each time they complete three Acts of Green.
