Rockfish Interactive Takes Part in Regional Launch of "Green Plus" Program

"Green Plus" Certification A First of its Kind in Northwest Arkansas

NORTHWEST ARKANSAS, August 24, 2009: In an effort to emphasize its commitment to Northwest Arkansas and the environment, Rockfish Interactive announces that it will take part in a first-of-its-kind certification program in the area.

"Green Plus" is a certification for small and medium businesses developed by the Institute for Sustainable Development in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The program was launched regionally by the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce. The "Green Plus" certification program provides businesses with affordable access to tools and information that will improve the company’s bottom line while becoming more sustainable.

As part of the program, Rockfish Interactive will take a diagnostic survey that will access areas within the business that need improvement to become more sustainable and environmentally-friendly. After sustainability improvements are made to the business, Rockfish Interactive will gain a "Green Plus" certification.

Rockfish Interactive knows the importance of being a good steward to the environment – and we want to engage our employees and Northwest Arkansas to looks at new ways to achieve sustainability.

Please join us for a press conference on Monday, August 24 at 1:00p.m. at the Arkansas World Trade Center in Rogers. Chris Carmody, director of Green Plus and the Institute for Sustainable Development, will speak about the "Green Plus" program and the Chamber will announce early adopter businesses which have already committed to and registered for the program.
